Warriors of Hope Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat Racing Team

Dear Warriors of Hope Supporter –

As a past participant of the Annual Warriors of Hope Golf Tournament, we wanted to reach out to you and update you regarding this year. COVID-19 has impacted everyone and everything and the Warriors have not been exempted from that impact.

For the first time in twenty-one years, ‘Jane’, our Dragon Boat, is not in the water and the Warriors are not paddling. There are no competitions this year and training is impossible due to the restrictions required to keep everyone safe. As an extension of this forced hiatus, it has been decided to cancel this year’s golf tournament with the plan of returning next year on September 11, 2021. The Warriors continue to be involved in the community through donations to local charities whose needs have been heightened due to the pandemic.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our mission to promote breast cancer awareness and to show that there is an active and healthy lifestyle possible after breast cancer. We look forward to seeing you on the links September 11, 2021.

This year’s Warriors of Hope Golf Tournament – our 15^th Annual during our 20^th Anniversary year – was once again lots of fun and highly successful. Thank you to Jeff and his entire team at Osprey Links for providing us with a beautiful course and a delicious meal; your staff never fails to impress. Our continued success with this tournament is based on the wonderful generosity of our hole sponsors, our prize donors, and of course, all the golfers who joined us for a day of golf and laughter – even the weather cooperated by holding off the heavy rain until we were all off the course.

The funds generated will go a long way towards supporting the work of the Warriors of Hope Breast Cancer Survivors’ Dragon Boat Racing Team. Thank you again to everyone who contributed to the day, and we look forward to welcoming you back for our 16^th Annual Tournament on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
